CSB Division Two Premiers – Aspendale

 Aspendale won the toss against Chelsea and decide to bat making a solid start and as partnerships were building they lost wickets, however each wicket made solid contributions with a solid knock from Ethan Wright of 70, which enabled Aspendale to bat around him and post a competitive total of 199. 

When Chelsea batted they lost early wickets and the carnage continued on a regular basis with little resistance, expect for a solid contribution by Achira Eranga 24 and Thivanka Rajapakse 17. Once again it was Ethan Wright who was the star of the game and MVP taking 6 for 22 off 17 overs. 

It was Aspendale’s 16th 1st Eleven premiership and in his first year as captain coach, Luke Wintle coached a premiership to go with his fine season scoring 744 at 82.6 and 4 centuries, all after Christmas.
